WOW Summer Day Camp

Ways of the Woods Summer Day Camp

Do you know about the Ways of the Woods?

Based out of Mountsberg Conservation Area in Campbellville, Ways of the Woods, or WOW, takes advantage of the best natural features of local Conservation Halton parks. Each week campers, aged nine to 14 travel to forests, lakes, caves, streams, meadows, trails and beaches for unique and exciting programs and activities. For younger campers, aged six to eight, the WEE Ways of the Woods Camp, or WEE, offers similar experiences without the overnight component. Camp sessions run from June 28th to September 3rd 2010.

Campers will be involved in swimming, boating, games, crafts and a lot more! Campers are led by mature, carefully screened, well-trained counselors who are required to participate in an extensive training program prior to the summer. All camp staff are certified in first aid and CPR. Each camp session lasts one week (Monday to Friday). Bussing is included in camp fees. Click here for more information about fees, session dates and bus routes.

New for 2010: Way of the Woods is pleased to introduce two weeks of Raptor Camp. Campers during the weeks of August 2 to August 6 and August 30 to September 3 will enjoy a special Raptor-themed twist! Campers will go nose to beak with owls, hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures. Meet and take photos with live Birds of Prey and their keepers, paint, photograph or sculpt from live models and even dissect an owl pellet!

Our programs are designed to be age appropriate and geared to the developmental stage of the campers. Each camper will feel they belong to a community based on respect and cooperation. So join us for one of our WOW or WEE camp sessions.
