KELSO TRAIL CONDITIONS
The mountain biking trails are currently OPEN.
In order to avoid opening and closing the trails each time we get a significant amount of rain we rely on your good judgement to stay off the trails when they are wet. Significant damage can be caused by even one rider when the ground is soft so please avoid the urge to come out and get muddy during or after the rain. Wait until things dry out and we will all be able to enjoy the trails in great condition for years to come.
Weather and trail conditions change often. We will do our best to keep the trails open for you but occasionally we do have to close to protect our trail network so please check back here for up-dates before heading out.
For more up to date information please call the Kelso Trail Report at
905-878-5011 then press #1 for Kelso, then #2 for trail conditions.

GATE INFORMATION
The Summit Gatehouse (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/l=43.496;g=-79.923) is the most popular Mountain Bike Trails entrance.
If you want to avoid the fees then pick up an Annual Pass at either of the Gate houses or in Customer Service at the Main Chalet. It's gets you into Kelso and all the other parks for more days of mountain biking, climbing, hiking, swimming and picnicking than any one person or family could possibly take advantage of. Individual ($90.00) and vehicle passes ($115.00) are available.
TRAIL INFORMATION
Kelso Mountain Biking Trails Guide is available on line, or you can pick one up at the Main Gate or Summit Gate entrance.
NEW! Are you new to the trails? new to Mountain Biking? or still learning your way around Kelso?
Try one of our 'suggested' trail routes. We have outlined suggested riding routes from the Summit entrance for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced riders. Kelso regulars - send us your favourite route - it may be posted next!
Suggested Beginner Route - this route may be a little long for some beginners. Riders looking for a shorter route will want to take a left at the end of Farmer Pete's field (intersection of trails 5 and 13) and head back up to the Summit Parking lot. The second part of the loop is primarily wide double-track riding along old farm fields and forests.
Suggested Intermediate Route
Suggested Advanced Route - Check out Quarry Trail as well (close to Wizard's Way) for a nice, fast, flowy spin. Fire is another favourite. The trails are all great, and more advanced riders will find several ways to ride these loops.
Because we do want to keep the trails open as much as possible for your riding enjoyment, we'd appreciate your cooperation in practising low impact cycling to protect the trails. Ride, don't slide, avoid wet and muddy trails, and ride through puddles rather than around them to avoid trail widening. Have a great ride!
For more information, contact the Mountain Bike Crew at mtb@hrca.on.ca - we love to hear from you!
HILTON FALLS
All Mountain bike trails are OPEN as long as conditions permit. Detailed information, directional maps and trail maps are available from the Hilton Falls park page or call the park directly 905.854.0262 .
